Ryan Brandt

Ryan Brandt is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Provisionally Registered Art Therapist. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling: Art Therapy from Adler University and earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting, double major in psychology, and minor in children’s studies from Washington University in St. Louis. Her experience includes providing counseling and art therapy services to children, adolescents, and families. Ryan’s training in the creative arts, psychotherapy, and art therapy, as well as her 10 years of working with youth, inform her therapeutic process. She uses a person-centered approach, narrative therapy, and choice theory to facilitate healing and growth and to help young people build their confidence and find their voice. She specializes in working with youth who have experienced trauma, youth who are experiencing anxiety or depression, and families experiencing rifts within the family unit. Ryan’s art therapy background means she is specialized in using art as a tool for communication and self expression. Prowess and skill in art making are not required. “You are the expert in you. My goal is to create a safe space where you are able to explore your true self and heal on your own time. Each person’s therapeutic journey is unique and I work to make sure each individual’s needs are being met. I know the idea of therapy can be scary, especially for young people, so I am here to make this journey as low pressure as possible.”
